My brother’s wife, Pam, had some problems with her neck – herniated disks – and went in for surgery about 2 weeks ago to improve the problem. She has not regained consciousness since then. For whatever reason, according to Barry, she retained fluids to such a point that they had to put her on a respirator to help her breathe. She then developed an infection which they were not able to identify until yesterday… so that further weakened her. Barry had a doctor and chaplain come in and talk to him last night as her future looks doubtful as her body is starting to shut down. Barry, understandably, is not willing to let her go as long as there is a chance, but come Monday, he will be forced to make that decision.
My brother and his wife are not religious, and as far as organized religion, neither am I, but I do believe in the power of prayer and I do believe that miracles happen. I am asking for prayers for my brother Barry and his wife Pam; for strength and for the grace of God to be with them.
