1/4" Ply Using Moisture Resistant (MR) Glue

    Hello all!

Has anyone sourced/does anyone know where to source quarter inch (1/4") plywood using moisture resistant (MR) glue? Preferably cherry ply, however darker colors will work too.

I've been having problems with my 1/4" cherry plywood warping after running it through my laser. 1/4" Russian birch works great for staying flat, however the contrast in burn is much more preferred with cherry wood. Looking for either multi-plied 1/4" cherry or 1/4" plywood species, other than birch, using MR glue.

Any leads would be greatly appreciated!

You might look for marine plywood. That's a standard product. Marine ply uses exterior-grade glue. One of my local dealers sells marine ply made from meranti, which is one of species often sold as Phillipine Mahogany. It is kinda-sorta cherry color, but has coarser texture.

Thank you, Jamie - We're going to source some samples of marine grade plywood today. Sounds like a great product for this particular project we're working on - thanks for the tip!
