I just started doing this last month. These are 6x12" and 9x9" respectively. I use a diamond drag bit on 3/8" thick acrylic and had to build my own bases (two 3/4" MDF pieces) since I couldn't find a satisfactory solution to buy. I friction fit the acrylic into the slot but found that the so called 3/8" thickness can vary by several hundreds, so you have to custom cut the slots for the particular thickness. I also created a slot to hold the remote control. This is the 2nd high school logo I've worked on. You need to engrave on the back side of the acrylic for better visibility and not see a reflection - hence you need to mirror any design prior to engraving. A gentleman with the online handle Xray posted a lot of details about how to do this on both the camheads and vectric forums and that info was instrumental in expediting my ability to do these.
