    Shop Dogs

Not to be confused with "bench dogs", although there have been times I've been tempted to...never mind.
Here's mine, picture taken in his preferred spot: he doesn't photograph well in the shop because he blends in with the sawdust.

My shop dog is a Pure Bred siberian husky. He too blends in with the sawdust!!

He is out in the shop with me every time I am out there. Normally he wanders out into the driveway and sleeps in the shade.

Here is a pick of him sleeping in the house:

And just to prove he is a shop dog, here he is behind the table saw pic:

My shop dog is getting old and I don't know how much longer he will be with me. Every moring I go and check if we have another day.

What kind is he? He looks like the "other half" of my GF's dog, who is Corgi mixed with SKT (some kinda terrier).

This is Peanut. She is a 10-year-old beagle/lab/chow mix (and who know's what else). Her favorite thing is to do is lay in fresh pile of shavings. By the way, that is a rubber snake in the picture, not a real one.

Mark - Do you have them in different colour collars so you can tell them apart?

Not much of a shop dog. China is a Australian Shepherd-Chow mix saved from death row at the pound. She's not adverse to powertool noise or sawdust and she gets credit for being fairly patient while her dad messes around, but eventually does the sad-sack face until I give in and take her out to the yard for a short play break. Her main WW chore is to let me know when UPS is here with a new gloat - works much better than the doorbell.

    My shop dog

I've included pictures of my shop dog Tissy (Tisket a Tasket) (as well as my shop daughter, Sarah). She is a six year old Shih Tzu and is a real sweetheart when she isn't begging food or terrified of a thunder storm (or my finish nailer).

I was installing baseboard (in the never ending bathroom remodel from heck) and she came and climbed in my lap when I started using the finish nailer. I had to make her leave so that I could finish.

Biscuit is a 3 year old mutt. We adopted him when he and my daughter were both 6 months old and they are best buddies. However, he will sometimes come out to the shop with me if she isn't home or is sleeping.

No shop pics, but I submit Dakota, the clown in a dog outfit:

Helping me recuperate from a broken back (in my old house):

And Sasha, the Wonderdog and gopher huntress:

And finally, one of me and the kids:

(I'm the funny-looking one in the middle.) Both dogs are adoptees, and we wouldn't trade them for the world.

LOL.....thats a great photo. I am partial to the canine varity myself...but certain cats have a "freindly" personality...

    Beau's successor

Here's my faithful companion, Sam although he (like Beau) does not like the sound of the motor, saws, sanders, etc.
