I remember a while back a thread about lasering name tags using a process like mail merge. I have to make 1500 name tags and don't want to input each individually. Anyone remember this thead?
Thanks

Hi David,
Just go to Youtube and search Corel Print Merge and there are videos there that will show you how to do it and set it up. Congrats on a nice order there.

I believe the real trick is to get the data in the same format whether it is a spreadsheet or text.
I spend more time when a league rep brings in 7 football teams lists of names and number all in different spreadsheets even after working with them for months. And who proofs these lists??

If you find you will be doing this often consider the Nameit plugin for corel by laser jump start.
It is a lot easier than merging.

The customer always proofs for jobs like this.
Make it a condition of the contract that the customer is responsible for all spelling etc. and also that they send the lists via email (or at least electronically) in a format that you are happy with for cutting and pasteing.
The cut-and-paste bit can be tedious, especially if there are a number of lists to deal with, but at least it can be done fairly quickly if you don't have to worry about spellings.
