    Question Rockwell 46-111

    I recently bought a vintage Rockwell 46-111 lathe . It has a one inch 8tpi shaft on the head stock . I can not thread on the face plate that came with lathe nor can I thread on an 8 tpi Oneway chuck adapter . Does anyone have any advice ?

    The threads are buggered up, usually because it or something was dropped n the threads. I would try to find a 1-8 die and clean the threads up.

    Check the diameter again. It may be a 7/8".
