Stanley 100 Mitre machine color?

Pick up a Stanley 100 Mitre machine, it works great but someone spay painted it a silver color and the rust is coming threw. It looks bad. Was going to boil the paint off and re-paint it.

What is the original color for the mitre box? I stripped some paint off a found a dark blue.

What color are the vice handles? Orange?

What paint thats left on mine is a darker looking grey on the body and no paint left on the handles. I don't know the age of mine nor am I aware of a type study.

Hopefully someone with more knwledge will come along shortly.

Original color. I've seen some where the handles were painted yellow, possibly by the owner.

I have seen a lot of yellow handles on images on line.

Mine is the Stanley-Marsh 100. Black with orange handles.
