Cool Boat paddle ukulele, travel size

I don't play stringed instruments but my daughter does and I like to try new things.
Poplar neck & sides, pine top & back, walnut fretboard, copper wire frets, aluminum saddle

    Ridiculously large kerfing in retrospect.

Piezo for no reason other than I wanted to see how it would sound.

    Walnut inlay on headstock.

It actually sounds decent and is louder than I would have guessed even with the ultra thin body.

Nice, but inquiring minds want to see a close up of logo!

    Is the shape just eyeballed?

The sticker is something I threw together with my name, city and date; I'll get a better picture and post it. Building this I wasn't really interested in making it perfectly symmetrical, preferring the home-grown vibe with the copper wire frets and all. Kiln dried poplar does not bend well and I broke a few sides until getting it right, next time I'll use an air dried wood.

I started working on something else a little different, here is a teaser pic. My phone camera isn't great but the woods in order from top to bottom... American holly, walnut (thin little slice), mahogany, ebony.
