    Wall Cabinet

For Christmas I did some gifts for my family. The first was a hanging wall cabinet from the "I Can Do It" book from Popular Woodworking. I was unable to fine the reverse flooring or paneling described so I did my a bit more plain. I'm pretty happy with the work but working with pine from the home center sucked.

I agree, I think it came out great and someone is going (or already is) to be very happy with it.

It looks great! What kind of paint did you use and how did you distress it?

The plans called for Latex Acrylic Paint but I couldn't find that so I used a Latex paint (Valspar). The plans called for rubbing it away before it fully dried but it seemed to dry pretty quickly on me so I just sanded it with 80 lightly and then 150 to the right exposure. Under this is Minwax Colonial Pine stain covered by Shellac. I covered the whole project with paste wax per the plans from Pop Woodworking.
