    A few pics of my metal shop

    Attached pics of my micro metal shop. It's crowded, I started to expand into my dog kennel room!

    Since going to an iPad my pics all post upside down.

    Leigh, that's a great looking setup! Is that an old Southbend lathe? Also, do you use the surface grinder often?

    Yeah a 1928 Southbend Ovrhead Drive that I bought a few years ago. The guy started to rebuild it, I bought and finished the rebuild. It was all in pieces, like a big jigsaw puzzle putting it back together.
    I use my surface grinder a lot since I bought it a few months ago. I've been using it to grind up some iron for these:

    Your shop is quite impressive, it must have taken a few years to accumulate all of the machines.

    Sweet! I like how those plane bodies are coming out.

    I've got a 1916 Southbend 16" x 8' thats tucked away in storage (future project). It even has the overhead step pulley with it. One of these days....
