    New Connection System

Someone sent me this box to cut out of 1/8" acrylic.......as far as I know, it's not a copyrighted design.

I thought it was quite unique and it is kind of a spin off of the "living hinge" (or whatever it was called).

It holds the acrylic quite snuggly.

I'm attaching a picture of the main piece so you can get an idea of what the concept is.

If anyone can figure out how to resize it (let's say I wanted a 5" x 5" x 10" box), let me know.

Let me know what you think of the design.

I use something similar in a cabinet design. It is cut from 5mm ply.

Steve resize the bulk part of the box by grouping the complete area of the nodes and adjusting that way you do not touch the detailed areas

It looks like the side of a box for a Raspberry Pi computer. http://www.adafruit.com/products/859

It looks exactly like the box featured on the link you provided Randolph, minus a few holes for the system board.

I must says though, I really like the wooden clip that Rich posted. I've designed a simple slotted/tabbed box to hold coasters and it would be nice to use a wooden clip / tenon design to hold it together (rather than glue). Thanks for sharing!
