Ever wonder what that cherry tree in the orchard would look like as lumber?

A friend had a sweet cherry tree removed from his home orchard and I harvested the trunk to slab into boards. Finally got around to doing so today (about a year later).

Note: although this unknown variety of cherry is related, it is not the same as "cherry" known in the lumber trade which is actually black cherry, Prunus serotina. This tree definitely was not Prunus serotina. The base is approximately 20". The saw and/or blade was acting up, the cuts are usually very clean and smooth... maybe the wood drying for a year made it more difficult to cut?
