    M. K. Morse Bandsaw Blades

    Hi,

Does anyone have experience with the carbon steel bandsaw blades made by M. K. Morse in Ohio? If so, what comments do you have?

    Thanks.

I've used them, they sold them at Menards (maybe still do). I'd say the ones I used were of good quality, with good welds, and I was happy with the performance.

I have an M. K. Morse bimetal blade (.025" thick, 1/2", 3-TPI) on my bandsaw I use for resawing. It stays sharp, and runs very smoothly. I've been very happy with it.

I did squish most of the set out of it when it was new, because for resawing I don't need much set (no curves). It cuts very fast, almost as fast as a brand-new Wood Slicer/Blade Runner.

I just wish I could find a .025" thick 3/4-TPI (variable) bimetal blade. That would be the perfect blade for me.
