    Mesquite Hollow Form

    Velvet Mesquite Hollow From. Wood is from the Tucson AZ area. 11 inches at the widest part and approx 7 inches tall. Small voids filled with turquoise and coffee grounds. Open at the top approx 1 1/8 inches.

    Yes it is a large hollow form. It is only 1/2 of the burl. The other half I will post later as I made a simple bowl from it. The finish is Super Blonde, 3 coats and sanded back between. Then 7 coats of lacquer sanded back on each. Then buffed with carnuba wax. Thanks for looking. Oh no more photos. The piece is in an art gallery in Grand Haven MI. I only took a couple of photos and they are both much the same.
