Lowell Freeborn was great tool engineer. He started SystiMatic saw blades with Bob Budke then moved on to start Freeborn Tool.

He wrote a book called The Carbide Saw Manual. By the time I heard of it all I could get was a copy of a copy.

I thought it was much too good a book to disappear. I made a deal with Mr. Freeborn to distribute the digital edition free and only charge for production rights for a hard copy.

Much of the book is dated. Many of the suppliers of carbide have disappeared for example. However his explanation of hammering and similar topics is still incredibly clear, beautifully written and wonderfully precise.

Email me at president@carbideprocessors.com and I will send a digital copy free.
