... and got a NIB Ridgid 12" Sliding Compound Miter Saw with Laser (MS1290LZA) which retails at the BORG for $569... AND NIB Ridgid Mobile Miter Saw Stand (AC9945) which retails at $189.
Paid $275 total. CHA-CHING.
The saw gets only better-than-average reviews, but I don't care. WOO-HOO.
I told my wife about it, but she wasn't all that excited... and I needed to brag to someone!!!

nice, I have the same setup (though I paid about $50 more) and am very happy with it compared to my old 10" craftsman slider.

Wives only appreciate it when they find a good deal. Mine glazes over when I talk to her about anything tool or woodworking related, but I guess I do the same when she tells me about her good deals.
It sounds like you did well, but no pictures = didn't happen.
