    Persimmon bowls

I turned a couple of very dry persimmon bowls. Hard as a rock. Actually turn nicely. I try to keep the little heartwood inside somewhere. I couldn't find a position that wouldn't turn off to one is off-set. with a round bottom. it spins slowly when touched. both are 5 1/2" dia x a little under 2" tall.

It looks like your artsy side got involved here also (like the 2 spindles earlier). The offset round bottom is neat and should get a lot of comments.

I'll call the one bowl either "Hard Boiled Egg" or "Avacado". It's a toss up!! Looks great!

Artsy is nice but I like the first one best. A well done simple curve in a wood with a warm tone is about as pretty as it gets.
