Well dang,,,, it appears I'm a big Sissy Pants. It was only in the mid 80's here and I put the AC Units in yesterday. The humidity sucked!

I tell ya' folks, I just don't like the heat. I'm one of the few people I know that want to move north when I retire, not south.
    I'm all messed up.

We hit 94ºF here today (Lafayette, IN), according to The Weather Channel website. My digital thermometer with a hi/lo storage function registered 95.4ºF as the high. Very unusual temperatures for May for us. I think the telling part, though, is that the humidity was quite low (dew point of 51ºF), which means that the air is heated more easily. But, due to the warm, dry spring we've had so far, our A/C has been on several times since the beginning of March (we usually don't turn it on until May-June). Drought conditions are quickly building...

I don't know how hot it got here on the farm in Florida but all the corn in the field popped and our mule saw it, thought it was snow and froze to death.

It's so hot that I have found out (the hard way) that my seat belt buckle could be used as a branding iron.
