AC Wall register air deflector. Do they work?

I have a wall register for my AC that is currently blocked by a dresser. I don't really want to move the dresser, so I though about buying one of these air deflectors. In the past I have used a similar solution a with a floor register and it worked ok, but never tried it with a wall registers. Do any of you have any experience with these? Do they work? How should the air be redirected (I assume I should redirect the air up the wall instead of down toward the floor, but what do I know...)?

The deflector is better than blowing against the back of the dresser. They do work. Direct it up.
You could also run a short length of duct underneath to the front. That would look a bit hokey though.
Never, under any circumstances, consume a laxative and sleeping pill, on the same night

Thanks, Myk! I ordered one and should have it tomorrow. I'll direct it up and see how it goes.
