Wow, that's pretty unexpected. What kind of feed rates, RPM etc. did you use?
Is that cultured marble or real marble?
CarveWright Model C

How well did the bit hold up?
Thank you all for your questions and posts:
@Brian
The Job size was 190mm x 100mm and the depth of carving is about 3mm... The centre arabic word (ALLAH) took almost 7minutes to complete..the Octagon around ALLAH took 10 sec..the rest A and B took 14.5 minutes…
As my whole machine is made up of MDF and yesterday i machined/resurfaced the spoil board so can' take the chance to spill water on exposed MDF... so just put some drops of water over the marbel during the carving and as the carving get deeper i put some more water.... The use of water make it like butter cut with the knife.. I think machining Marble is easy than the wood..
VBit was HSS 12mm dia 90 degree included angle, Spindle speed= 10,000 RPM), feed was 0.2mm/pass, 60IPM as my machine can't move faster than that...
@Jim
It is real marble I just brought from the marble factory.
@John
That was normal Vcarving bit and I must say the bit worked fine , zero vibration and it seems I am cutting butter…
Here is a short video and some marble carving.
