Copper flashing from a roofing material supplier or metal fabrication shop will work just fine and probably be much cheaper than 'craft' suppliers.

I've bought 12"x24" copper sheets at Lowes here in town for a birdhouse project- haven't checked HD yet but would be surprised if they don't have it.

PS- it's NOT cheap
