    Finish for SYP bench

I'm thinking Danish oil or boiled linseed oil/spar varnish/turpine mix that Schwarz recomends. If you are making the mix do you use gloss or satin spar varnish? The local borg has Cabots spar varnish gloss or satin. Thanks for any help I can get.

It is probably up to the person using the bench.

It doesn't seem that the satin finish would really keep things from sliding all that much.

Then after a few projects there will be some scuffs to the surface.

The satin finish may reduce glare from overhead lamps.

I've used both gloss and satin in that mixture for my SYP bench. It doesn't make alot of difference at the end of the day.
