Need help for acrylic earrings stand

I have been reading this forum for some time I have only nothing but good words for it

Now I have a challenge. A customer wants acrylic earrings stand 42cm high and 21cm wide. Till now I did not make something this tall out of acrylic so I have concern about it. Is it going to be enough 3mm acrylic for this size?

Considering the slope angle you show on the side view I think 3mm would be too thin unless you brace it back to the stand which could look messy.

I've attached a design of an earing stand that I build once out of 5mm acrylic, its just a 2 pieces that slot together so no bending. Your welcome to use it if you want or it might give you an idea. I saved it as Corel Version 9.

    That is really great design!
This customer wants the one like I have posted, with back slope. It is going to stand in window display, so it will be out off reach of customers Maybe 4mm thick?

Ivan, I don't quite understand the design. Are the blue rectangles slots that are cut right through? If so, the whole thing will be very fragile as there is little edge distance. It doesn't take much to snap acrylic. A full-width slot will also make it very flexible.

Yes, blue rectangles slots are holes. I will offer them a little different design. Maybe if there is some 1 or 2 cm space between cuts and edges.

It's definitely going to need something, as it is I'm sure it would break pretty easily. Maybe you could run a piece vertically to reinforce it?

Cast acrylic will hold up better than extruded and high impact acrylic is better yet.

Also, put radiuses on those inside corners. Any inside corner is where stresses concentrate.
