Question Laurel and Live oak trees

As you guys know last year Florida got hammered by Hurricanes. A vast amount of trees got knocked down . The majority of these trees were live oaks and laurel oaks. Anybody familiar with these types of oaks and are they good for use in woodworking? I have not seen or heard of anyone using these for anything!

    Please advise!

Live oak is an awesomely dense and strong wood. I have harvested much and have used some. It's pretty yellow in color compared to other oaks. If you are going to haul the logs yourself, beg, borrow or steal a forklift.

No experience with Laurel, but I would guess that it's OK to work with too.
