    A special present

No 2 son David and his delightful wife Amy are visiting for a few days. David (also a hobby woodworker) brought me a Garret Wade combination square that also makes the tea. I'm absolutely delighted with it, it is the kind of tool that will get used daily. Beautifully made.

    Combination square :

    Depth gauge :

Extend the scribing gadget and it's a marking gauge (it also has a pivot to use the thing as a tramel and it has a spirit level) :

Ahhhh! The old Stanley "Odd Job" marking tool.
Sweet. Can I use it sometime?

I love my number one odd job. One of the reasons I found a shop apron I could stand was to have a place to carry it!.
