    Corel Q - what color black is "G:0" ?

That seems to be the non-hatch version of black... gamma = 0 ?

Still trying to figure this bugger out. I imported two bitmaps from a single CD - both had different color blacks assigned. One came out clean (with G:0) ,the other one came out with "'da' hatch"

I just KNOW there's an easy solution to this debauchery!

That's value 0 in the grayscale palette, i.e. pure black, same as RGB:0 0 0.

"Design"? Possibly. "Intelligent"? Sure doesn't look like it from this angle.
