Question Help - drawer bottoms on dovetailed drawers

I'm ready to make trays to go into cedar chests. They are similar to a drawer and will be 1/2" dovetailed on all 4 corners. The trays will be 3" in height x approx. 17" square. The drawer bottoms will be made up of 1/2" thick edge-glued stock.

My question is what sort of detail is required to make the dados into which I can slide in the bottoms to the sides? Stopped dadoes at the fronts?

    Thanks,

    Bryan

    Bryan,

Stopped on the 2 sides and tey are opposite hand of each other. Sopped on the front unless you ate aligned with a tail. The back none it cuts to the top of the dawer bottom that slides in. You can do the stopped dados on a router table.
