    Turnings

Here are a couple of turnings from a small cherry log I had and a small oak log. The cherry are calabash style and are 5 1/2" X 2 1/4" with 3/8" walls and the Oak NE is 6 1/2" X 4" with 3/8" walls. All three have one coat of Antique Oil on them.

  7. Really like those cherry calabash style.........very nice indeed! The oak NE is also nice........I would think keeping the bark intact with that one was a bit of a job. Good stuff Bernie!

...just curious. How many coats of AO do you normally apply?

Thanks everyone. It was finely nice to get to do some turning.

Mike I usually put 3 coats on. Sometimes 4 on wood like oak.

    Good looking pieces.

You did a great job of keeping the bark on that oak.

Thanks again. John even though they were small pieces the cherry turned like butter. A real joy to turn.
