    Very impressive lathe configuration! Begs the question... What are you going to turn on it? One piece pool cues? Porch balusters? Center posts for spiral stairways? Just curious....

    Steve, I had in mind bed posts, lamps, decorative columns, deep hollow forms with a modified boring bar... I wasn't kidding about scaling up one of Double D's goblet forms. It will also be a nice firm place to sleep when SWMBO is on the war path.

    Let's see if you walk that bad boy across the floor That is a true Mustard Monster...all others are pure imitations. I am glad to see you using a magnetic on/off box. You would walk several miles a day going back and forth to turn the lathe off
