Vacuum pump

I just picked up a LH Trivac D4A vacuum pump, anyone out there used one on a chuck system? It has 1/3hp motor and appears to be about 4cfm.

Plumb the sucking side up to something like this off of ebay, or make a PVC chuck, but you have to rig a bearing in your lathes hand wheel. I took the easy way out and bought the below for about 40 bucks, it has a bearing built in. Later I bought a "rotating union" and fitted it to my Jet 1642's hand wheel. However I tend to still use the below chuck more. Also you need a filter to keep the dust out of the pump. Put a tee in the suction line also to regulate the vacuum, you only need about 17" Hg. I really like mine and use it a good deal.
