Finally got away from pens ...

and turned some bottle stoppers as requested by some friends. I hadn't done these before, but decided "why not". The opened bottles around our house don't usually last long enough to need a stopper put back in them! I made these up from some of the scraps around the shop. The Walnut is from an old stair rail, the cedar from a fence post, the maple and apple from tree limbs blown down during last year's storms. These really are fun to do and, believe it or not, are quicker even than doing the pens! There's not much chance for error and your design is only limited by your imagination. Fun projects and so far, they are selling pretty well. Thanks for looking.

Very nice, Ron. I haven't tried the bottle stoppers yet for fear it will become one more lathe addiction that will keep me away even more from flat work. I like the fact that you "salvaged" the wood. Truly a case of turning a sow's ear into a silk purse, er, stopper...

I have done so much with so little for so long I am now qualified to do anything with nothing......

P.S. If you are interested in plans for any project that I post, just put some money in an envelope and mail it to me and I will keep it.
