Request (if you have the book Making Traditional Wooden planes)

If any of you have this book, pg. 94 and pg. 77 shows depth stops that I would like to make (or have made). I am wanting to build my own wooden planes and I don't have metalworking equipment. These are for plow planes and dado planes.

Any creative solutions for how to make this? What equipment would be needed? (I've never worked with metal). I don't mean to ask for handouts but I have no idea what I'm getting myself into.

    Thanks for any help/suggestions.
