    jewelery armoire drawer dividers?

Been working on this jewelery armoire sense Black Friday! I'm ready to put dividers into the drawers and was wondering the best way to cut the dividers. The size of the divider will be approx. 1 inch high made out of half inch thick stock. The dividers should be about 3" squares.
Do I half lap them or what other options do I have. How should I go about cutting them if I go the half lap method? Please any ideas are welcome!

Clamp all vertical divider parts together and cut half-laps as a group. All parts will be the same. Same for all horizontal divider parts. I would cut the half laps with my dado set. Make test cuts on some cheap stock before committing your good wood. A backer board can be attached to your miter gauge to keep the parts square to the blade, same as cutting finger joints.
