Out of focus

I just thought I would ask how many of you run certain jobs out of focus.
We vector engrave a celtic knot into delrin .250" out of focus to get the desired results, which is a wider line.
We also run Alumamark out of focus by 0.040", this seems to give much more detailed results.
Anyone else run their machine out of focus?

I do a lot of different materials a little out of focus. It all depends on
the material & the effect I want to accomplish. Like everything else
the only way find out how it will work is to test & test again.
