How to find a local laser cutter?

OK, I really want to purchase one, but don't have the cash. In the mean time is there a reasonably easy way to find folks with laser cutters in my area? I want to cut some wood and plastics for hobby purposes, and the costs of some of the commercial services seem out of line (pokono, etc)

I live NW of Nashville in Tennessee.

Jack, head to the "Friends of the Creek" directory. There's a red button at the top of your screen. You should be able to find someone around you by looking there.
