Is anyone running Inkscape with lasers? If so what have you experienced?
I have experimented and played around with print, but have not tried to vector/raster anything.

Text is complete bollocks (at least with my ULS). Something odd about the way the data is converted causing the kerning to be abused. the higher the resolution I would try to print at, the more kerning was removed, creating overlapping characters. To resolve, you have to convert all text to curves before printing.
For images, though, I found it to be very satisfactory.

You should get in touch with the people at NYC Resistor. They teach the laser class using mainly inkscape.

I havn't used it for direct output to the epilog yet but I did use it to make gears I exported for use in corel. Vector lines were just as they needed to be.
