    "Stretch" or "Shrink" multiple component?

I've made a fairly complex chest out of a number of components such as legs, top, shelf, front, sides, etc. If I wanted to say change the depth of the entire chest from 16" to 18", I would have to edit each component and push/pull each face 2", which I know I can do but was looking for a shortcut.

Is there any way to say make a section cut, and stretch everything in that section cut by 2"? Sorry if it's a little tough to explain what I mean.

    Thanks

You can Scale the whole thing. Make the collection of components a Group. Then Scale the Group. If you want, you can Explode that Group, and you're back to where you were.

Wouldn't scaling make my 2"x2" legs get bigger too?

Yes, this operation doesn't do exactly what you asked. But if you're trying to do what you said -- make a piece 2" shallower -- it may be close enough.
