    First Platter

I turned my first platter today. It is red oak and is 9" x 5/8" at the highest point on the ring and the rest is 1/4" thick.

This is going to a lady across the street that is having us over for pot luck tonight.

This was fun to make but as a friend said, they go to fast and your done.

I also finished up the last presents for the wife and daughter. Satin bells and candle holders.

    Thanks for looking.

So Dick, when you gettin' rid of all your flatwork tools?! Got a list handy I can reference and be ready when you put them up for sale? Hey, seriously, nice job on the platter and the rest of the gifts! I know all will be thrilled with them!

Thanks everyone for the nice comments. This platter was fun and it won't be the last one I make.

Last nights host really did like the platter and now she wants another one. Darn, now I will have to go out to the shop again.

    Merry Christmas everyone.
