Entertainment Center Complete

I started this a long time ago, and have finally finished the last piece. It's made from quatersawn red oak and finished with waterbase poly. I learned a lot along the way:

Inset doors are not as hard as I thought.
Wood stain can go bad.
Being in a hurry will take longer because you have to schedule a trip to the ER for stitches.

Next lesson - using superglue on small lacerations and learning to give yourself sutures on the larger ones saves the time, trouble, and aggravation of going to the ER...

One question, where did the fire place go?

Well..... The fire place is still there behind the cabinet (the gas was capped and disconnected). Both the mantle and hearth are gone. I built the cabinet modularly so that the future owner can take out the bottom two center sections and have a fireplace if they want. The entire center section sits away from the wall so that the heat from the electronics can travel up. There are slots cut in the bottom of the electronics cabinets that let air in from a closet in the basement.

Eric that came out very nice. Its clean looking. I have built lots of these types of projects and you did a great job with designing it.
Im suprised you found it easy for inset doors with those old school hinges that have very little adjustability.
That tree piece on left of TV looks great in that cubby.
