I'm trying to find some inexpensive sources of ready to use 1/8" solid hardwood to cut some samples for customers. 2"x2"x1/8" would be ideal. I can live with bigger pieces up to 12"x12"x1/8"
Can someone make a recommendation? Thanks.

Do you have a Wood Craft in your area?
I have Michaels and Joanns which sell scrap balsa or 1/8" birch ply.
Lowes and Home Depot sell 1/4" red oak and 1/4" poplar but it's not flat.
No "wood craft"

I bought some small custom walnut boards from them last year and was
very pleased. Of course quantity is a major issue with these companies
Equipment: IS400, IS6000, VLS 6.60, LS100, HP4550, Ricoh GX e3300n, Hotronix STX20
Software: Adobe Suite & Gravostyle 5

Woodcraft and Rockler both do Internet sales and have a wide variety of species in 1/8"...not cheap though.
George Perzel (http://www.laserarts.net/products.html) has maple, walnut, cherry, and jatoba.

Yoga class makes me feel like a total stud, mostly because I'm about as flexible as a 2x4.
"Design"? Possibly. "Intelligent"? Sure doesn't look like it from this angle.

You can never be too rich, too thin, or have too much ammo.
Try the Wood & Shop. I've gotten some beautiful 1/8" thick ebony from them. They seem to carry a lot of different hardwoods in thicknesses from 1/16" up.

I haven't ordered from these folks yet, but their prices look to be very good compared to others I've found (they have many different types of wood):

Hope you find just what you need.
I have ordered a fair amount of stuff from these guys and they are very good http://www.sloanswoodshop.com/default.htm . I would also check my local area, in Austin there is a place called Fine Lumber that usually carries a pretty decent baltic birch. The couple times they didn't I went to Sloans.
