    What type of material is this

    Hi All, this is my first post so bare with me. I need help finding out what kind of material this is, The website says its a domed license plate frame. Does anyone know how I can duplicate it or where to find a place that prints it

    The clear section is definitely extruded acrylic, it has rubber compound added into it when it's being made to make it more resistant to knocks and it won't shatter like cast. The outer edge looks like it's made of aluminium.

    I'm more inclined to think it is an epoxy domed label.

    Yep... domed stickers placed onto an off-the-shelf generic chrome plate. The stickers will cost you <$1/both in bulk, and I'm sure the plate itself can be had for around $1 in bulk, too.

    Frank, I think what you're seeing is the heatshrink wrap around the entire plate (notice the ripping/lifting of it near the mounting holes).
