In the spirit of the season.

A snowman I turned. Simple plain and fun. I've wanted to do one for a while and had a bit of time Sunday. Made from Cherry about 7 inches tall and 2 in diameter at the base. The buttons and such are holes drilled and pieces of a pocket clip from a disposable pen cyano'ed in and a flat toothpick colored with an orange Crayola glued in for the nose. Finish is BLO. One of the few times that I was able to keep myself from "touching up" and wrecking the project. I turned it between centers but next time I'll use the chuck.

Very nice, John. The holidays really do make for a lot of potential projects! This is a good one.

    Hi John,

Very cool! I think I'll try a couple of those. I need to spend some serious time on the spinny thing and get some Christmas gifts cranked out.
