No one makes a small framing square with a 12" tongue and a 16" body anymore, and I got used to using one at my shop for quite a few years. The one at the shop has a lot of weld spatter on it, so it was out for woodworking, so I cut down an extra framing square today to a 12" tongue and an 18" body. The extra 2"'s will come in handy, I always wished they had an extra 2 inches of length on the body.

FWIW;

When using the steel square to mark angles it should be remembered that the angle given by the tongue will be the opposite of that given by the body and vice versa. The following table will give the measurements used on the tongue and body and their respective angles commonly used.

Tongue Body Tongue Body
15" 15" = 45* 45*
7-7/16" 18" = 67.5* 22-1/2*
10-3/8" 18" = 60* 30*
3-9/16" 18" = 78.75* 11-1/4*
