    morris chair

on a morris spindle chair and stool should the spindles be 1/2 or 3/4 . my directions and drawings are contradicting each other . i want to know what size was used in the original stikley chairs . my drawings show 3/4 on stool and 1/2 on the chairs . however the instructions say to use 3/4 on the chair and stool

    thanks

    Morris Chair Spindles

In one of my books "Building Arts & Crafts Furniture" by Paul Kemner & Peggy Zdila show 3/4" by 3/4" spindles for the Spindle Flat Arm Morris Chair.

  3. I know I'm late to the game but, having built a handful and starting on another series right now, it's exactly what Doug said - 15 per side, 3/4" for spindle size and spacing between all including both 'ends' next to front and rear legs.

It's a GREAT chair to build!
