Got an e-mail...
"You should get this saw. It doesn't cut the hotdog!"
Thanks, mom. I have never seen that before.

Now Zach, how sweet is it that your Mother still thinks of your safety?
Now you just have to send her brochures for the Binford 2000 ( or whatever you want) in the hopes that she'll start promoting that purchase.
Regards, Rod.
Her promoting a purchase does me absolutely no good unless she is promoting it with money. Besides, the PM2000, which is what I plan to purchase in the near future, doesn't have youtube videos with hotdogs.
Tell her about the safety advantages of a European slider and suggest some model numbers and shipping dates near your birthday.

Ooh...I see a Martin T60 PreXision in your future.
Nothing like cutting an 8-foot long sliding dovetail with a regular (non-dado) blade, computer controlled power adjust angle and height and a touch screen showing you an animated picture of the progress with a readout to .001".
Stuff like that could make a hand tooler sneak some time on power tools.
