File size limitations & workarounds - ULS M300

I've been running up against some file size issues recently - the rolling buffer in my M300 is 3.75 MB, and it won't run files 3.25MB or larger.

I'm certain some folks who use older equipment have some creative / common sense techniques for reducing file size related to image density.

The file I'm having issues with is attached.

I'm engraving glass, and need to run it at highest image density to get a decent engraving pass. If I reduce the density, the image quality is poor. This is an issue at times with wood as well.

    Looking forward to your suggestions!

    Thanks!

I never run glass at the highest image density. You could always reduce the number of panels. It won't really slow you down that much.

That is what I thought. send two files, the right and then the left. the file size would be about 1/2 each.

    Matt,

You can add more memory to those systems.

    Mike -
Thanks! Paul of CEIlasers.com in VA has serviced my equipment in the past - he noted the same. I'll be upgrading the memory in the coming week.

Thanks to Mike N. and George G. as well - I attempted two panels, and the run time was pretty much the same as running the full bed.
