    price for plate

    How much would you charge for laser engraving a 4 x 6 painted brass plate. It has about 12 lines of text.
    Thanks,

    Plate Price

    Tony;
    $28.43 if text is in copy/paste format. Add $21.77 if I have to type it.
    Best regards;

    An elementary question, to be sure. In this business, you can only get perceived value. Very few people will pay more than $20 to engrave a plate, almost no matter what is engraved on it. The material can vary wildly... "Sir this is solid brass, not cheap steel that will rust, or low cost aluminum that has some gold coloring on it. The quality of real, solid brass will far outlast other materials. $15 for that 3" x 5" solid brass plate is a bargain when you take these things into account!

    "Oh, and we can put that logo on it for only $15 more!"

    Now we're making some money! The old days of counting characters are over.... it's an excuse to avoid salesmanship.
