    Square Bowl

I threw a 8x8x2 piece of Yellowheart on the spinny thing and waa-laa, I came up with this square thing. Man these things are a bunch of work, knuckle busters.

Finish is fraction wax and polish, though that was a little tricky while spinny.

Great looking piece Scott. No way would I use friction polish on it, my hand still hurts from trying to sand the one I did last week.

    Great job.

    Nice job, Scott

Square bowls are fun because there are so many ways one can go with them. I like the flowing lines of this one.

Very nice, Scott! I'm really starting to get green with envy over all you folks having the opportunity to crank out such nice stuff on the spinny things! On the flip side, it gives me a bit of an incentive to get all those house to-do's going! Lookin' real good Scott!

    Scott,

I think you are doing quite well of late on the lathe...turning out some great pieces! You really captured a nice, pleasing, flowing shape on this bowl and with a wood that is equally clean and clear. Sometimes wood can have too much figure!!
