    Cyclone with Harbor Freight DC

I'm looking for a recommendation for a cyclone that I can put inline before my new HF 2hp DC.

Oneida makes one, I think its called the "Super Dust Deputy" and if you search "dust cyclone" on Ebay you will find a cheaper alternative that looks pretty good. The seller has positive feedback so far.

I don't have either one of these cyclones but I do have a full size 3hp Oneida cyclone, so I can recommend Oneida as a good company to deal with.

If you are looking for a true cyclone, ignore this. But if you want effective cyclonic separation, look into building a Thien cyclone separator... (Google Thien Cyclone and you will find Phil's site). Phil Thien is also a member here... He's the guy that came up with this thing. I have one and I can't speak well enough of how it works...
Trying to follow the example of the master...

I built a Thien and it is in front of my HF dust collector. It works pretty good I tried it on the 1 hp HF dust collector and then put it on my 2 hp HF collector.

Another thumbs up for a Thien in front of a 2HP HF DC. It just plain works.
