Hawaiian turtle

I got a guy that needs 2 graphics, one of a Hawaiian turtle with the islands in the middle and a Hawaiian turtle with the Hawaiian flower in the middle, I have looked on Google but not much luck and what i did find was very tiny and of poor quality.

Kasey, as a rule we try not to intentionally share copyrighted images here on the creek.
If you were actually looking for a picture of a real turtle, I apologize for my mistake.

why is a turtle copyrighted? anyway, he asked me for a turtle with the state of Hawaii in it and a turtle with a flower in it........

A good majority of the images you find via a google search are copyrighted. Just because you can find an image via a google search, don't assume it is free for you to copy and use. Even something as simple as finding a picture of a particular dog breed on the web and using that image on something you sell. If that breeder finds out you used a photo of their dog from their web site, without their permission and/or without compensation, you could find yourself in a mess of trouble.

That's why I said that one was big enough to re-draw.. Once you have redrawn something from a photograph, 'that' particular art is yours..

Not if the photo you used was copyrighted. If you trace a photo it is still infringement. If you free hand something that another story.

I have a few turtles. I have one with a plumeria in the inside. I have one similar to the one you are looking for but it doesn't have the islands. It wouldn't be hard for me to add them to it. I use corel draw x4 and x5. If you need it as a jpeg or ai file I can send you those too. Just let me know. I am new here but am willing to help. I also have one with a hibiscus

Re-draw is re-draw, even if you hand trace it with a light box, it's still your rendition of the original... An exact trace using a computerized method, would be a 'copy' and not yours

The "copy" part of the word, copyright means that no one can copy the image, IN ANY FORM without the express permission (license) of the copyright owner. That's what copyright means.

Somehow, you have gotten the impression that if your "copying" is done by hand, rather than some mechanical means, it's okay to use it. Sorry, but you've been misinformed.
